Akonni receives NSF’s Stage 2 SBIR Grant to develop Lab-on-a-Film microarray Akonni Biosystems, a lifestyle science tools molecular diagnostics company / that develops, manufactures, and plans to market molecular testing gadgets for diagnosing infectious diseases and individual genetic disorders, announced today the receipt of a $498,780 Stage 2 SBIR Grant from the National Science Foundation . This second circular of financing from NSF will enable Akonni to help expand develop its Lab-on-a-Film microarray consumable that can be produced on ultra-low-cost film using a highly automated, reel-to-reel production procedure.
